Hello Everyone,
If there is anything these last eight months have taught us is that all the normal activities and freedoms that we took for granted can change in a heartbeat. Family and friend visits, outings to a store or restaurant, things that were so simple and just a part of our daily lives are now so complex. We want to thank you for all your efforts to comply to all the guidelines and restrictions even when it is not very easy to do!
We hope that you are finding the indoor visiting in the Social Hall comfortable and that you feel safe. We know it is not a perfect solution and the personal hugs and interactions will have to wait a little longer. There is the essential caregiver option also. If you feel like you are struggling with your day to day cares or mental health please contact myself Jan Lappy-Assistant Administrator or Lynn Shepard our Director of Nursing to discuss having your essential caregiver to come in safely and help you. We understand that COVID restrictions are getting long for everyone, with the winter months and holidays coming we want to connect you with your loved ones and caregivers as much as possible.
Several months ago our Board of Directors donated money to purchase the most up to date Smart TV/Zoom system so that residents will be able to have zoom meetings in private. It will be in our conference room on the third floor. Like many products it is on back order, but as soon as it comes in we will get it set up and let you know. Hopefully this will help you connect with your family from out of town or folks that cannot come here to visit.
Food Service is preparing to open the dining rooms for the dinner hour also. We will send more information soon.
Although it will be a very different Thanksgiving than we are used to, we wish you a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving,
