March Administrator’s Letter

Only in Duluth can there be a storm with 10 to 12 inches of snow one day, and the next day 38 degrees and melting. The first day of spring is on March 20th which is nice to finally see after a long winter.

Like the weather St. Ann’s always changing. We are busy trying to restore the Front Office back to a functioning administrative and meeting space. The other project we are working on is the first floor signage and making the spaces and hallways friendly and welcoming. All nursing services are now on the first floor.

Hopefully we have seen the worst of the influenza and flu outbreak, but health officials are still warning we could have another wave of illness. Please continue to use precautions especially good hand hygiene.

We are glad to announce that Robin May has accepted the position of Interim Director of Nursing. Robin has been working in the Resident Care Services as an RN’s since May of 2017.

As of this writing, Scott will be heading to St. Paul to work with the State Legislature regarding St. Ann’s property taxes while they are in session. More to come as this project progresses.

Sincerely,

Scott and Jan
